I. What advice would you give the patient about playing sports safely?

To prevent physical injuries, such as C.T.E., especially in football, I would emphasize the importance of wearing appropriate protections to make the game safer. I would also advise my patient during the check-up to attend a medical appointment immediately after any injury or signs of pain, particularly if the pain persists over time. Eventually, I would raise his awareness of the specific medical impacts of his sport and the associated movements which may harm the body. I would refer the patient to medical specialists, such as physiotherapist.

II. What questions would you have for the patient regarding playing sports?

- Did you notice any physical injury or pain ?

- What motivates you to play sports and what goals do you want to achieve ?

- How have you been feeling lately ? Have you experienced any mental health issues ?

- What about the pression that you may endure ?

- Do you still enjoy playing sports ? Is your team very supportive ?

As my answer is rather close to yours, one can only hope it's going in the right direction ! I like that you added "do you still enjoy playing ?" it gives spece for the player to come to the realization that pain should not outweigh pleasure in the practice of sport.
