Sport & Protection

To warn a patient about the possible dangers of sports, I think it is important first to take a broader, overall perspective. In reality, we should not focus only on the activity itself, but also on everything that surrounds it: nutrition, lifestyle, and general hygiene. These factors can have a significant impact and may increase the risk of injury. Symptoms should never be ignored or pushed aside.

1) How regularly do you have medical check-ups?
2) Have you noticed any difficulties or deterioration in your condition recently?
3) Do you experience any mental or emotional difficulties after practicing sports, such as a feeling of dissatisfaction?

I agree with your point that playing sports safely includes a lot of others aspects of general health, especially mental health that tends to be neglected. Physical checks-up are really common for athletes, contrary to mental checks-up. The state of mind of the athlete can really impact performances, just as much as his possible injuries.
